Resumo: The hosting organization is the largest and longest established environmental NGO on the Maltese islands aiming to protect and conserve the birds that breed or migrate on the islands and raise awareness about birds and the natural world among Maltese society and visitors.

For over 50 years the organization has been working to protect birds and nature in Malta and inspire and educate people about the natural world. Today it manages three nature reserves that act as refuges for breeding and migrating birds, undertakes research in to the birds that nest or migrate over the islands to understand and better protect them and inspires and educates Maltese society and visitors to the islands about birds and the natural world. Another key area is influencing and lobbying wider society to reduce the impact of human pressures on birds, including hunting, trapping and urbanisation.
