Resumo: The hosting institution is a kindergarten, founded in 1953, since 1993 as an independent non-profit institution with a capacity of 180 children (120 kindergarten places including 6 integration places and 60 nursery places). The institution has a focus on Northern Europe, especially Sweden, and takes part in pedagogic exchange programs. Another focus for us is the inclusion of children with disabilities.

The institution has individual rooms for moving, playing, sleeping and food, additional room for different offers and a wonderful garden. The pedagogic work of our kindergarten focusses on open work, there are spaces for role-play, art, handicrafts. Furthermore, there are special highlights during the year like seasonal festivities.

Perfil: Potential volunteers should be interested in working with children in a kindergarten and like kids / A plus are volunteers from Northern Europe (because of the profile of the kindergarten)/ open-minded and communicative behaviour / ability to work in different groups
Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer supports the workers in their daily routines with the kids and shall support own small or bigger projects in the kindergarten. He/She will get to know a pedagogic insight into the open work of the institution. The volunteer will work in a group with children between 2 and 7 years. He/She will get to know and co-arrange the work with the parents; participate in important processes like preparing elder kids for school, attend small projects and offers (handicraft etc.). He/she shall actively enter aspects of his/her own culture into the daily life with the kids and create special projects around this. He/she shall carry through an own project.

In addition, there will be realized several project days towards topics of solidarity in Europe / participation / social projects for all ESC volunteers. The volunteers have to take part, learn and to realize an own social idea. They should also inform about social project in their home country and present it to the others.
