Resumo: Our association works on promoting the rights of refugees and the inclusion of refugees in the local community. The broader goal of the association is to include persons seeking international and subsidiary protection and persons under international or subsidiary protection in the community and to sensitize the citizens of the Republic of Croatia to unique challenges this group faces.
We operate primarily in the areas of our group's human rights advocacy, social work and education.

The activities we are now undertaking are related to assistance in employment, education and community involvement. A regular activity, i.e. projects, that we run are refugee programming courses, and we have just launched a new social mentoring project for young refugees. The focus of the association is on young refugees aged 18-30, given that there are no programs targeting this group exclusively.

Most of the activities and projects of other associations are focused on families and children, and this group is often left without adequate support. Through our work, we are promoting equality, solidarity, tolerance, cooperation and community building.

Perfil: We're looking for volunteers who are:
- open and interested in new cultures
- sensitive and empathetic to the needs of our beneficiaries

- are interested in organizing and searching for new solutions to challenges

- have an idea of how they can contribute to our cause

Age: 18-30

Tarefas: We provide support to young refugees and asylum seekers in different aspects of their inclusion in society through various programs and activities. One of our new activities we'll introduce in 2021 is a photography and storytelling course. A volunteer will help our teachers with assisting on classes (which will be organized mostly outdoors), help students do their homework and tasks, help us in the organization of the activity and later event of the exhibition, help with communication about the activity in social media, be included in brainstorming sessions how to improve the activity and offer his/her own ideas. Also, he or she will suggest ideas for classes and in cooperation with teachers try to realize them.

Condições: Travel costs: covered Accommodation: In a shared accommodation with other volunteers (possibility of sharing a bedroom with one more volunteer of the same sex)
Food money: 130 euros monthly
Pocket money: 150 euros monthly
Public transport: A bicycle or tickets for transport will be provided if the accommodation is out of walking distance of the office
Language support: basic language support covered
