Resumo: Junior Secondary School is a school born in 2013 through the unification of two junior secondary schools which had existed in the town for several years.

Perfil: Candidate should be over 18 years old and registered to the ESC portal;
Must be very motivated and committed to the voluntary activity;
Interested in the topic of the project;
A minimum B1 level of English. Knowledge of italian language is a plus

Tarefas: a. Organization of cultural and linguistic workshops. In particular, the volunteer will have the opportunity to participate at the English lessons with the students, showing the importance of learning the language.
b. Participation in several outings organized by the school also together with FAI (Fondo Ambientale Italiano): visits to museums, specific cities, monuments, etc…
• participation into curricular and extracurricular activities (including guided tours about the artistic and cultural heritage of the area);
c. Organization of special events as for example:
• cine-forum,
• theater exhibitions,
• school-lab,
• international evenings
• tandem project
d. Participation in the specific projects organized by the school such as the “Full Immersion into the English language”.
e. Communication and promotion activities: updating the website, social network, virtual groups and similar, designing flyers for special events.
f. Participation in activities targeting disabled and underprivileged youth, such us accompanying them, helping them to get integrated in the school, supporting them to understand another culture and to express in another language, suggesting them extracurricular activities.
g. Participation to a course of Italian.
h. Helping the students with their homeworks

Condições: The volunteers will live in a double room in a shared flat together with other volunteers, either in the
city close to the school. In this case volunteers will get a transportation subscription. No single rooms are foreseen!
The lodging choice will be always decided by the School or in the coordinating organization. For both lodging options, volunteers will have to respect the rules of the structure and the environment where they live.
There are possibilities for the volunteers to have their meal either:
• At local meal service able to answer to any dietary need. In this case a lunch/dinner card will be provided.
• At home, which is fully furnished with kitchen. In this case an additional amount of money will be provided corresponding to 150 euros.
• A combination of meal service card and extra pocket money would be also possible, according to need and the timetable of the volunteers
