Resumo: The organization is one of the big socio-cultural centers in the city council which is available to the public. It represents an up-to-date information point concerning the different public services as well as a meeting point for the residents of the district, where they can read the dailies and take part in the scheduled activities. Concerning the instalations, the center offers an office block, a room containing newspapers and magazines, a play-roon, a library, a cyber-room, a theater and various multifunctional rooms.

In this context, activities for children (games, reading animation, handicraft, languages, workshops...), teenagers (chess, ping pong, languages, dancing, sports...) and adults (photography, handicraft, cookery, danceing, languages, yoga...) are taking place. In addition to that, there are other, open activities as expositions, video, etc. or activities referring to national and international holidays. (Magosto / Chestnut-festival, Christmas, Carnival, Midsummer`s Day...)

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for young volunteers with interest and motivation in cultural activities and leasure time with children and teenagers. We are looking for youngsters with capabilities of comunication, social skills, enthusiasts, creatives, with initiative and values and ideals about solidarity and europena identity. We value highly the desire and the motivation to participate in this experience.

Tarefas: The main objective is to promote knowledge and relationship with other different cultures among young Europeans who live within the same framework of coexistence, Europe. It seeks to reflect on the common links and the differences between them and how enriching it is to have other points of view. The project also seeks an active role of volunteers in information about the European Solidarity Corps and about Europe.
Finally, we find it very enriching to know different ways of working from socio-cultural animation and education through leisure and free time activities in the different countries of the European Union. The volunteer will cooperate in the activities, events and campaigns of the Centro Sociocultural in the frame of leisure time activities for children, teenagers and adults.
