Resumo: Narva Kindergarten is a municipal pre-school institution.
Kindergarten is visited by 190 kids aged 1 to 7. There are 11 groups of 15-20 kids. Daily routine of the kindergarten is busy and interesting as there is a variety of different classes including arts, music, math and speech, outdoor activities.
Nearby park is available for sport activities or nature studies. There are several traditional events being held by the kindergarten: Christmas, New Year, Mothers and Fathers Days, Knowledge Day, Theater Week, Maslenitsa (Crepe Week) and Easter. Kindergarten is opened everyday from 6.30 to 18.30 excepting Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Kindergarten employs qualified stuff, 28 teachers with higher education including music teacher, Estonian language teachers, physical education teacher and speech therapist. Kindergarten is an active partner of other educational institutions participating in different local and regional events. The kindergarten is located on the north fringe of Narva city. There is a Language Lyceum next to the kindergarten, which is being visited by most of the kindergarten`s graduates. Kindergarten territory allows to organize interesting and divers children activities. Kindergarten is the youngest pre-school institution in Narva. In May 2020 it has celebrated its 30th anniversary. Kindergarten was built on May 10th, 1990. The building itself allows to create comfortable conditions to the kids. Each group has its own play-room, bedroom.
In the kindergarten there are:
• Music hall with modern audio and video equipment, musical instruments and other equipment used for organisation of children events and theater plays;
• Sport hall with needed equipment;
• Speech therapist room.
From the year 2014 baby club has been opened for kids not visiting kindergarten yet.
From 2015 kindergarten has joined international program Kindergarten without violence. we are also following the concept of eco-friendly education. The kindergarten pays a lot of attention to learning in the courtyard, involving parents, developing children's digital competencies, teaching Russian-speaking children the Estonian language, for example, it participates in a pilot project of the Ministry of Education Professional Estonian-speaking teacher in a Russian-speaking kindergarten group.
