Resumo: The Kindergarten is a 63-year-old institution that provides preschool education for children 1.5-7-year-old. Currently, the kindergarten has nine groups in two different locations. We have 2 groups for children with special needs, 3 bilingual groups that use Estonian and Russian as study languages, 2 Estonian groups, and 2 nursery groups. Each group has proper equipment based on the age group of the children. Due to the great attention paid to integration, the kindergarten has groups to facilitate both Estonian and Russian speaking children. It is important that integration happens through games and daily activities making it suitable for children of all ages. The kindergarten has renewed the playgrounds on both of the locations so they are suitable for playing and learning outdoors.

Besides that in one building, there is a kitchen where children can learn how to cook simple food. In the activities, there are uses educational robots, interactive boards, I-pads, etc, in order to bring variety into the daily. The Kindergarten belongs to a network of kindergartens aiming to educate children on health issues and we participate in the Eco-School program.

The volunteer can participate in all activities and offer her/his ideas and creative thoughts in dealing with children. In coordination with the teacher, the volunteer will also have the chance to put on performances, organize sports activities and competitions or other similar activities with the children.
