Resumo: The not-for-profit foundation keeps world music and dance traditions alive in Belgium through an ambitious programme of concerts, courses, accompaniment of artists and its own music label. We bring artists and members of the public together in a spirit of discovery and respect for cultural diversity.
The foundation carries out extensive background work to provide a platform for talented artists representing the musical cultural of the entire world and to destigmatize cultures through music. We also provide a framework and support for artists so that they can keep their music alive and allow them to act as intercultural mediators, promoting sociability in the multicultural context that is Brussels. The foundation also strives towards being a citizen-led movement that integrates and mobilises people who are eager to share its values and philosophy.
Perfil: The foundation is looking for a young person, between 20 and 30 years old, who has a background in the sociocultural sector, in interpersonal cultural mediation, cultural management or communications management, and who is interested in music. You are motivated and you would like to make a contribution to our organisation over a period of a year. We need someone who is proactive, sociable and motivated and who has the necessary flexibility. Oral and written comprehension of French or Dutch, and English would be an advantage.
Tarefas: he best way to bridge the gap between your studies and a job is to build up some relevant work experience through a meaningful voluntary project. Muziekpublique offers you the opportunity to get some practical experience so as to be better prepared for your future career. We are currently looking for a non-Belgian volunteer who would like to spend one year with Muziekpublique.
You will be a member of a small and dynamic team and will be totally immersed in music from across the world. You will learn how to work with people of very different origins and cultures. You will be involved in various aspects of the organization such as producing concerts, coordinating volunteers, and public relations and communication.
Condições: You will have paid accommodation and receive a monthly food allowance + pocket money. Your health insurance and the travel from and to your home country will also be covered by the Erasmus+ programme
