Resumo: Center of free time activities is located in a former school in Vsetuly (a district of Holešov city.) The building offers lunchroom with kitchen, gym, and club rooms suitable for all kind of activities and cultural events. A large garden is also part of the building as well as children playground used for all kind of activities. Some activities take place in the city castle garden, school sport grounds, city square etc. These event are occasional.
Our centre offers hobbies and various interests oriented activities to children and young adults since 2003. As an independent, non-profit organization that belong to the city, it exists from January 1st 2007.
Very closely we cooperate with kindergartens and schools. We offer various programmes and activities such as Drama classes, First aid class, Culture in the fun way, Art in the fun way, etc.
Regular activities.
- offering hobby and interest oriented education for preschool children ages between 4-6
- offering hobby and interest oriented education for school children ages between 7-15
- offering hobby and interest oriented education for teens and young adults from age 16
Pur organization employs around 90 interest groups that focus on different fields: folk, English classes for small and preschool children, horseback riding, aerobic, hip-hop, art and painting classes, relaxation exercises, English conversation for adults, table tennis, bellz dancing, ballroom dancing, etc...
Perfil: We are preferably looking for a volunteer who is:
– CREATIVE – This is important as many of the activities you will be involved in will require a creative spirit and a spirit of initiative)
– COMMUNICATIVE – You have to be able to communicate with the staff, either orally or by gestures, however active English is important, as well as your own will to learn the Czech language. This project is not very suitable for too shy individuals because the active communication with children (but not necessary by words) is essential during activities, therefore you have to be willing to engage.
– RESPONSIBLE – This is obvious since you will be working with children most of the time and should act as their role model. From the same reason we require the certificate of clean criminal record.
Age: 18-30
You should have SOME BASIC SKILLS in the area of sports, visual arts or music. You will be involved in respective clubs/societies/lessons for children and youngsters (supervised by full-time supervisors) and help out with activities.
You should also be interested in work with technologies and computers. You will be expected to operate a camera during some events and subsequently make promotional photo presentations, videos, short films, administer files with photos/videos and some Internet accounts (Facebook, Youtube).
Application
Tarefas: The project will be focused on free time and extra-curricular activities for children and youth (marginal focus on adults), public outdoor events (e.g. the Day of Europe, Children's Day, festivals, competitions, etc.), promotion of such as activities and volunteering among youngsters, etc. The volunteer will spend 12 months working in the organisation, 2 months at summer camps (July and August 2021). Activities will include: helping organise/assisting in hobby clubs, help with one-off events a trips for kids, game days and nights, decoration of weekend events, helping with everyday running of the organisation and preparation of activities; etc. We are offering this opportunity mainly for people with a few opportunities.
