Resumo: A house where young people with disabilities can experience how to be independent from parents.
The living environment fosters individual and social emancipation processes and the personal independence of the guests who are invited to develop their hobbies and abilities and express specific needs.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- it’spreferable that the volunteer have a strong interest in people with disability;
- some knowledge of the Italian language, or a strong will to learn it;.

Tarefas: The volunteer on service will support the guests in the management of their personal environment and
everyday life.
The volunteer will support the professional educators in developing personalized activities and materials for the users to help them in cooking, cleaning the house, take the bus, do the shopping, using the media and social networks, etc.

The volunteer, together with the staff, will also accompany the guests to meetings, social events, traditional markets or other events and activities organized in the territory which allow the guests and the volunteers to meet the locals.

Moreover the volunteer will collaborate with the staff in the organization of moments of aggregation, parties,thematic evenings, etc. stimulating the guests in creating new activities together, to facilitate exchanges and socialization. Furthemore,these activities can be also dedicated to deep knowledge of the volunteer's culture or guests'cultures as far as cooking, cinema, popular dances and other traditions are concerned.
