Resumo: The School is the unique boarding school in Lithuania for students with large and very large speech and
language disorders. The school’s community consists of more than 250 students coming from all the country and almost 130 pedagogues and supporting staff. It offers pre-primary, primary and basic education, including special education
and a wide range of non-formal education activities. The primary goal of the school is the development of the child’s language skills. Its vision is a safe, open, constantly improving school following humanistic and democratic values in its work.

School staff seeks new ways, methods and tools to teach students from socially deprived areas, to built strong educational bridges between school, family and local community.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Your main task during the project is to support the children with special needs in their everyday duties giving them individual help; for instance: helping with getting dressed, accompany them for having lunch. Enough time will be allowed for you to realize projects you will initiate with members of school community.

Typical activities can involve:
- Helping the class leaders during their work with the chidren in caring tasks;
- helping during the daily housework;
- helping for the teachers, preparing various materials for classes; after-school clubs, school trips;
- taking pictures from schol events.
Also you can be asked to make a presentation about your home country and voluntering in general

Horário: You have to work 7 hours per day, 5 days per week. Also you should have 2 days off per week and 2 days holiday per month. Also during your working day you may go for a lunch to school canteen. The prices are really cheap and food is tasty. You don’t pay every time you eat. You will pay at the end of the month for all food you previously ordered. Also you can order breakfast, snack and dinner.

Weekend and holidays
You have 2 obligatory free days per week (usually it is weekend). Don‘t forget to check also the holidays in Lithuania! (Special days like: 16.02, 11.03, 24.06, 06.07) Each month you earn two free days. In your time that means 22 days. You can arrange them as you want during 10 months, if you are not needed in school in the concerning time. But before going somewhere inform about your plans your mentor or a person with whom you work at school
