Resumo: The activities will take place at a community library, managed by the organization since June 2019. This place is a public space where it is possible to study, read and consult books; the place hosts workshops, seminars and creative activities for children and adults and hosts.

Perfil: Young people between 18 and 30 years who are legally residing in a participating country or in a partner country and have registered in the European Solidarity Corps Portal. Moreovere, people who have already done an individual ESC can apply. This group will be made up of young Italians and participants from EU countries.

Tarefas: There is also an urban garden, whose objective is to be a centre of aggregation, the garden can be taken care of by the inhabitants of the neighbourhood and all who attend the library. In the garden are developed activities related to creative recycling, construction of greenhouse and street furniture to create a small park for children of the city, in particular:

- build several BookCrossing using recycled materials, that will be installed in different areas of the city: our goal is to promote the importance of reading;

- reconstruction and cleaning of green areas of Agorateca, removal of weeds, making of the wood stuff and furniture for the garden, cleaning of spaces and take care of the vegetable garden.

- participate to recycle workshop where will be used different materials and technique to realize artefacts and artistic installationthat will decorate the Agorateca spaces;

- construction of greenhouses to improve crops in the urban garden

- supporting promotional activities of the territory: walks for theknowledge of flora and fauna, visits to archaeological sites to discover the city.

The project will include intercultural moments and activities to promote the European Solidarity Corps.The groups will be guided by the organization’s youth workers and the Link’s long term volunteers.

Condições: Accomodation
The volunteers flat is settled in the city centre.The flat has a living room, a shared bathroom, a big kitchen where the volunteers can prepare meals on their own. The house is equipped with independent heating and washing machine. Volunteers will stay in a shared room.The volunteers are obliged to take care of the houseand all the furniture and objects in it. The volunteer is responsible for cleaning the house. In case of damaging orbad shape condition of the apartment, the volunteer must reimburse the expenses.

Food
The organization provides every volunteer with a weekly sum for food: 40,00 € per person. The volunteer is supposed to shop and to prepare the meals on his own, or together with the other volunteers who stay in the same flat.

Volunteer Allowance
Volunteer gets the pocket money every beginning of the month. In Italy the pocket money is 5,00 € per day. The volunteer will sign a document to confirm that he/she received the money.

Insurance
The volunteer will be cover by a Cigna Group Medical and Non-Medical Insurance Plan that is covered by found of ESC project.
