Resumo: The organization qualifies young people between 15 and 24 years for work and for f inding a job. Most of the youngsters who come to the organization have learning difficulties and are having t rouble in finding a job. About 10 youngsters are employed at the organization for one year period that should prepare them for real employment after this training programme. Dur ing this year they have the possibility to learn a lot of things and to acquire job qualifications for their future. Soft and hard skills are taught through working with wood, metal , doing gardening, working as a care taker or in fulfilling simple office duties. The youngsters are also trained in applying for a job.

Perfil: Age: 18 -30
We are looking for a volunteer who identifies with the project description and is willing to enrich our team.

- We are open to host a volunteer who has alow educat onal background or is currently unemployed
- open, friendl y and interes ted in communicating with youngsters
- Beginner German skill s are important , as our youngsters do not speak much English
- interested in social work with young unemployed people
- Mechanical skill s , computer skills or creativity would be appreciated, as the project can of fer manual working tasks
- Be ready to bring in your own ideas and interests
- Be ready to live in a small town and to live on your own

Tarefas: Getting in contact with the target group and supporting them in the learning process:
The volunteer assists the youngsters in their preparation for working life and will get to know the working areas . The volunteer ’ s role is to support the trainers team in the daily work. For example: training school subjects and helping with home work, assisting in the work on computers (e.g. writing CVs and job applications, researching…), but also training social and soft skills and welcoming new youth to the organization. Fur thermore, the volunteer could accompany the youngsters in the sheltered workshops - doing gardening, practical work and handcrafts assignments .

Developing own ideas:
organization’s daily work has the big goal to support and empower young people to use their resources . We would like to invite the volunteer to develop and implement a few of his/her own ideas during the project (e.g. workshop, organising an excursion, leading a creative activity, health or cooking project…) .

Condições: ACCOMMODATION - You will live in a private fully furnished studio apartment in the hosting organisation’s building located in the centre of the town.

FOOD - You are responsible for grocery shopping and cooking for yourself. You will receive a monthly food allowance in addition to the pocket money.

POCKET MONEY - 150 Euro per month.

LANGUAGE COURSE - German course at the beginning of the project.
