Resumo: The NGO Centre is NGO resource centre for more than 600 NGOs in region with 2 regional offices. Main tasks are to support regional organizations by providing consultations, information, organizing seminars & trainings, creating strategic documents, promoting co-operation between NGOs, state institutions and social business structures, also, developing voluntary activities and promoting non-formal education in local society, especially targeting youth NGOs and young people. Main target groups of organization are NGOs & young people.
Since 2002, when first European Voluntary Service project was carried out, the NGO Centre has expanded cooperation networks and has been sending organization for more than 60 and host organization for more than 70 EVS volunteers.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: ➔ Main topics: YOUTH WORK, YOUTH PARTICIPATION
➔ Daily work: youth centres of Zemgale region, assisting youth centre personnel and organizing your own individual activities
➔ Variety of tasks: in the office (newsletters for young people using EURODESK info network; helping staff of organization with organizing regional seminars / events); in youth centres / outdoors (there are more than 6 different youth centres who are organizing free time activities for young people where volunteers will assist in organizing interesting and educational free time events, sport activities etc)
