Resumo: In December 1995 ten organisations joined together to form an umbrella organisation. Since then the organization has grown to over 40 member organisations operating in the following fields:
- Developmental-political educational work for ecologically and socially compatible, sustainable development in the One World
- Promotion of understanding between people of different cultural and religious origins
- Support and advice for migrants as well as political lobby work in the areas of refugee protection, immigration and integration
Since May 1996 the organization has been the association responsible for the einewelt house (one-world house) in Magdeburg. The offices of societies and migrant organisations as well as five function rooms can be found under its roof.

The organization coordinates the 1200 events organised by approx. 80 partners that take place annually in the einewelt house. Intercultural encounters, project days with school pupils, training courses, film events, round table discussions, exhibitions of international art, language courses, seminars and society meetings make the house a centre for lively cooperation. The organization promotes the development of the einewelt house as a place for all population and interest groups that are committed to a democratic, open-minded and tolerant coexistence to meet and learn.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The tasks of the volunteers are very diverse and can be adapted to the volunteers in accordance with their personal interests, experiences, and language level. Two new volunteers are needed. The service is funded by the European Solidarity Corps. Project Activities ○ cooperation in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of international youth projects, ○ participation in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of youth education projects for young people from Germany, ○ planning and implementation of events in the multi-generational house, ○ visiting events as a representative of the European Youth Educational Center, ○ designing flyers, posters etc., ○ mentoring short-term volunteers of the youth educational center ○ general office activities, handiwork activities.
