Resumo: The main aim of the Association is to support the human development in accordance to The Gospel and the rules of Catholic Social Teaching, in particular bringing help to children, youth, elders and families in tough living situation. Our regular activities include running the socio-therapeutic common-room, youth club and a senior club. Moreover, there are events and actions animating the local community: festivals and family events.

The families live in a very difficult conditions. They face a number of problems that are destroying their lives (alcoholism, violence, unemployment, poverty, crime). These people have no hope for a change. They are detached from the cultural opportunities and deprived of social and spiritual support.

Our goal is to work in accordance with the principles of Catholic social teaching to restore their sense of hope, dignity, desire for good, love and development. When helping, at the same time we want to tackle a sense of entitlement to everything for free that characterizes many people in this district.
We involve people we support in the various forms of reciprocal help, as well as in a social projects. We work on the basis of the following principle good displaces evil - the more good we will create, the less space for evil. Pay it forward – what you receive should be used and given to other people and in a real life - the good has to happen in real life, not in the declarations, imagination or intentions.

Perfil: We look forward to cheerful, patient volunteer that is determined to achieve a goal and respectful of our work style that consistent with the catholic social teaching.
It is welcome if the volunteer has basic English and/or Russian language skills and is willing to study Polish, which would help a lot in his/her daily and will enable him/her to be more involved into the organisation’s life. Gender of the volunteer is irrelevant for the project.
Age: 18-30

Tarefas: - helping children in the common room with their homework
- carrying out classes for the children in the common room
- creating projects in cooperation with the secondary school students, that support the local community
- language courses or other extra classes for youngsters and elders
- supporting the organization of large events for local community
- training in coordinating large teams during events
- taking part in pedagogical courses
- supporting the tutors during youth camps

There are 3 places where volunteers can help: common room, youth club, senior club. The main place of work is common room and volunteers will be able to get envolved in other tasks according to their skills and interests
