Resumo: The Association du Hameau des Buis brings together the people living in the ecovillage. It was founded in 2008 and is a full member of the Global Ecovillage Network Europe.
Our main goal is to implement ecological transition, learning techniques and making relevant lifestyle choices to reach that goal. We have a close connection with the training centre, and the network.

The main activities are market gardening, bakery and goat farming.
Our decisions making process comes from sociocracy tools, with 5 circles : relationship, ecological transition, daily organisation, communication, administration, with weekly or monthly meetings.
Actually we propose internships for students and volunteers to discover this way of life.

The ecovillage was built from 2007 to 2011 during a participative bulding process. Since 9 years it opens his doors to people looking for more sustainable way of life.
We practice and spread a sober and happy way of life in strawbale houses, experimenting cooperation, organic agriculture and goat farming, saving water and energy, conflict resolution, sociocracy, and intergenerational cultural activities.

Our organization has no employees and all of its activities are based on willingness. It has 43 members, including 15 retirees from different business sectors (food processing, education, paramedical, horticulture, industry).
