Resumo: - The hosting organization is a Free Radio with Open Access. We invite as many people as possible to bring their themes and content on air themselves. This appeal is directed particularly at individuals and groups that are largely ignored by established media. In this way we aim to counteract social marginalisation.
- We offer a great variety of formats, cultures, generations and languages and see the radio as a platform for information, music and experiments over the airwaves, via internet and cable.
- The radio is a medium for people and opinions. Critical and open. Socio-political and committed. Informative and varied.
- The organization provides studios and rooms for editorial work and production. We supply equipment and offer training and support.
- More than 450 broadcasters regularly create over 100 programmes. Their work ensures a great diversity of form and content for this station. Anyone can broadcast on the radio, as long as they do not violate any laws or the principles. We give priority to people and themes that are medially and socially marginalised.
- The organization is opposed to discrimination, by which we mean unequal treatment according to gender or sexual orientation, origin, religious or political views, skills, languages or age.
- The organization is a non-profit, non-commercial and transparent project, organised as an association, funded by public subsidies, membership fees and donations and carried by the programme makers and other committed individuals.
- The organization is a radio without commercials, which means that the programme is created independently of the advertising industry’s priorities and without the need to pimp ratings.

Perfil: Age:18-30
Apart from that you should be interested in media, politics, arts and culture and be open-minded. Last, but not least, you should be able to work independently and looking forward to learning new things. German knowledge is not an obligation, but would be welcome.

Tarefas: As a volunteer, you engage as a part of a colorful and international team at the Free Radio Innsbruck FREIRAD. You will get insights in the coordination of our radio programm, the production of radio shows, the teaching of media, PR and many things more. Depending on your personal interests you can focus on one of this fields specifically. During this time, you will learn the technical and journalistic basics of the medium of radio. You will also have the chance to get in touch with the Tyrolian cultural scene, as FREIRAD has served to connect local art and cultural professionals for more than 15 years and acts as a platform for marginalised communities (migrants, refugees, LGBTQIA, women*, unemployeed etc.).

Condições: Accomondation will be offered in a shared flat near the organization.
