Resumo: This Youth center is a place for young people from 13 - 20 years old. We provide non-formal education and organize various events and everyday activities such as: outdoor and indoor activities, theater, art workshops, language classes, creative writing, debates, music, movie nights, intercultural nights, journalism, video, etc. Our work is directly connected with young people, and the main theme is art, culture, and sport.

Perfil: There are not any specific requirements regarding volunteer's profile. Nevertheless, it will be very helpful if the volunteers are experienced in working and developing activities with children and young people aged 13 to 25. They should be motivated to work on promoting creativity, youth participation and active citizenship of young people. It is also expected that they would be interested in intercultural learning and exploring the way of living in Macedonia.
No previous experience is required by the volunteers. The association will provide the necessary training and support for them. Still, general interest in the chosen field of work will be desired - arts, media.
The association is open to all young people interested in becoming EVS volunteers. All of them will be expected to send CV and motivation letter; and the organization will make a preliminary selection based on these documents. Afterwards, the association will also conduct phone interviews with the most serious candidates, in order to finalize the selection procedure. However, creACTive will not choose EVS volunteers for this project according to any other criteria besides their interests and motivation.

Tarefas: The volunteer would organize activities with the members, create and organize workshops, take part in and initiate the organizing of public events, and work closely with local youth. We are flexible with the volunteers, and we are giving them the opportunity to express themselves and to realize their own ideas which we would support.

Horário: As already stated, the EVS project will be a combination of activities based in organization's youth club/office, in the primary school in Drenovo and in the local high school in Kavadarci. The exact proportions of these types of activities will be agreed with each of the volunteers separately, according to volunteer's expectations and interests. Nevertheless, the organization will still follow the general guidelines regarding this issue, contained in the EVS project.
Generally, the volunteer will work 30 to 35 hours weekly, or 6 to 7 per day. Saturdays and Sundays in general will be free days; and if there is some specific activity taking place during weekend than the volunteer will receive other free days instead. Besides the regular two free days per week, the volunteer will also have two days of holiday for each month of the service.
The approximate timetable prepared as a draft by the organization is the following:
Monday: 12 - 16: Preparing the contents of volunteer's activities (ex. workshops)

Condições: The volunteers under the age of 18 will not be accepted. Volunteers are guaranteed the insurance as it is expected in the programme Youth in action. They will be told how to get to the medical institutions, pharmacies. If necessary they will be accompanied to the doctor and helped in all medical conditions. They will be informed about the essential phone numbers (police and medical assistance) and all the other necessary information. They will be informed with the legislation regarding the public regulations and traffic in Macedonia. They will also be informed about the other issues, important during their stay and work in Macedonia
The projects of creACTive in general, and this project in particular involve young people under the age of 18. The target group of our organization is young people aged 13 to 25, with the main accent being on the youth from 15 to 20 years old. Thus, the organization is paying attention on the question of child safety and protection, and is taking all measures that are considered as necessary.
The parents are regularly informed about the activities in which their children are involved. In case of travelling, they are obliged to sign a statement declaring that they are giving the permission to their children to get involved in the concrete activity. In addition, the organization has a strong policy of not using alcohol and drugs for its members, particularly during organization's activities and in the offices/youth club. As youth workers are role models for young people, organization's team members are agreed not to use alcohol and drugs in front of young people, in order not to give such an example to them.
The team of creACTive takes all responsibility for the juveniles involved in our projects. The team members have a long-year experience of work with children and young people under 18. Furthermore, part of the team is consisted of psychologists, social and educational workers. The other youth workers have constant support and guidance by them; and thus we believe that our activities are adjusted to the age of the young participants.

Formação: One of the main aims of the Youth Association is to promote international cooperation among youth in Europe and to involve the Macedonian young people in a process of intercultural learning. We believe that by hosting and sending EVS volunteers we make a great step towards realization of these aims; and the mission of creACTive in general.
We are very interested in hosting EVS volunteers because we believe that this will bring intercultural dimension to our local and national projects. In addition, we expect that the presence of volunteers from other countries in Kavadarci will mean much for the local community and the young people living there. We believe that the EVS volunteers hosted in our organization will also have a great chance to get involved in a real process of intercultural learning, guided by our team and the young volunteers.
The association hosts EVS volunteers from March 2008. Starting date of the project is not very important, as the organization integrates the volunteers in its current, on-going activities. Thus, project dates and length are flexible and can be agreed directly with the volunteer. Still, we would mostly prefer projects starting in September and lasting until June each year.
