Resumo: The hosting organization was established as a non profit organization in 2002, to host the Workshop of Traditional Dancing, which was initiated in 1999 and the other cultural activities developed throughout the years. (Traditional Music, Film, Photography and Theatre). More than 100 children and adults have the chance to be involved and express themselves artistically through the various activities offered by the organization.
Our neighberhood, a historical neighborhood, dated as a burial site in ancient times (archaic roman period), one of the oldest settlings outside the wall of the city, has lately been reviving after a long period of decay. New families are moving in the houses restored considered as national heritage architecture. The neighborhood consists of habitats from different cultures and background making it an excellent place for inter-cultural learning practicing tolerance and participation.
Perfil: Age:18-30
We are looking for a resourceful, communicative, creative and eager volunteer who is willing to undertake different kinds of tasks, mainly office/administrative work, regarding the management and support of European volunteering projects. We would like to work with a person interested in this particular field of European programmes, who is social and creative, willing and flexible, as well as a team player with a sense of initiative and resourcefulness,
Tarefas: Τhe main objective of the project is to offer an opportunity to international or local volunteers to be involved in the organisation, implementation and management of European volunteering projects. The project aims to offer volunteers the knowledge and skills relevant to preparing, implementing, managing and finalising projects, from the point of applying to the point of closing the project, by running project logistics, recruiting, maintaining everyday needed documentation, closing and reporting on implemented projects, communicating with partners/volunteers/stakeholders, promoting and disseminating a project's call and results and and in general, by supporting all of the above mentioned processes and more.
The volunteer shall also be involved once a week in the support of the morning or afternoon activities of the coordinating/hosting organisation connected to the running of the building as a cultural centre that hosts activities for children and adults
