Resumo: The organization is a non-profit organization that represents more than 160 member organizations from all EU-27 EFTA and candidate countries. The members are farmers, producers, traders, research and lobby organizations, environmental and consumer NGOs, as well as companies from the entire organic supply chain. The organization EU strives for the worldwide adoption of ecologically, socially and economically sound systems that are based on the principles of Organic Agriculture. The organization EU Group with its head office in Brussels is unique in being the only body with representation from all of Europe to facilitate European-wide efforts within organic agriculture. Our scope is to encourage knowledge, principles and practices about organic agriculture that can bridge both language and cultural barriers, both to the EU affiliates, to public authorities and to the general public.

Perfil: Aged between 18 and 30 and be legally residents of an EU country. Relevant experience is not needed but applicants should have a substantial interest in learning about organic agriculture. Teh organization welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds regardless of gender, cultural, ethnic background or religion. We open our doors to open-minded and strongly motivated young individuals. As an umbrella organisation, we enjoy welcoming diverse volunteers as it helps to enrich our community and understanding of the challenges and opportunities for organic on a wider scale.

Tarefas: The learning experience will be enriched by various trainings described below but also by a common project (among the 5 volunteers), regular exchanges with other young people from like-minded Brussels NGOs, public events. The 5 volunteers will be selected to join one of the following units: Policy, Research & Innovation, Communications, Projects & Fundraising, Events & Membership. They will gain practical experience staying in organic farms in Belgium for one or two weeks.

Horário: Volunteers are expected to commit 35 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
