Resumo: It's a neighborhood gardening project - organised mostly by young families on a spot which has been abandoned places in the city - is now a garden and a place to meet. They have a bicycle repair garage and are into the öko kind of gardening - having also chicken and pigs in the middle of city. The EVS position would be something for somebody very motivated, self-assure and able to work also without someone telling what to do all the time. So postion could start 1st of February 2012 but also 1st of March or 1st of April latest and last for 6 months.

Perfil: The volunteer should have an interest in learning German und to get to know all about the German culture. He should be interested in public realtions, new media, artistical and designing part of the public relation sector.

Tarefas: Possible duties could be:
-assistance within developping the PR concept of the part of the city (Bildhauerviertel)
-assistance for a press contacts
-assitance in developing further the homepage
-collecting of information of the association, design and communicate these information
-co-operation with the bicycle garage of the association or in the wood garage
-development and care of the energy plants garden in cooperaton with schools and kindergardens
-development of a concept regarding the biodiversity within cities in conection with Ökolöwe e.V. on the example of neighborhoudgardening
-further development of the garden area for the use as a public area
-assistance in the development of the part of Leipzig (bottom up) , preparation of Workshops with citizens and to the development of the street
-preparation of parties for the citizens of the quater , film and litrature festivals

Condições: The association is able to secure the living and working conditions of the volunteer. In case of a problem the volunteer could inform his mentor Mrs. Zimmerman on place or his tutor Mrs. Dietrich of FAIbund e.V. at any time. He will receive the telephone, handy numbers and E-Mail addresses. Only person over 18 years can apply for the project.
Person can live in a shared flat with other volunteers (WiFi included) - will receive German language course and pocket money + foodmoney (315,00 Euro).

Formação: The objective of the association is mainly to help families, children and youth and has developed different cultural and artistically projects, which could be an interesting working field for a volunteer.
