Resumo: The hosting organization is a public institution with a basic emphasis on work with and for the young people, focused onto the identification of needs, young people's interests, providing facilities and programs to satisfy those interests and presenting interesting content in our environment.

We have been active in the field of working with young people for more than 15 years, have more than 15 years experiences with EVS projects. At this time, it employs 22 experts, who are involved with activities such as non-formal education, culture, multimedia centre, youth multimedia production, entrepreneurship, information and counselling, children's program, international activities and projects, tourist-information network, promoting and implementing activities in the field of youth, entrepreneurship and tourism. Our regular activities include information, non-formal education activities, concert activities, exhibitions, literary evenings and travelogue lectures, supporting local youth culture, children's and holiday programs, international activities – organizing EVS projects, youth exchanges and trainings since 1999 (Youth, Youth in Action, Erasmus+). We coordinate the work of local active groups that promotes entrepreneurial thinking of young people. We organize monthly concerts of popular and alternative music, festivals, theatrical performances, exhibitions, literary events, travelogue lectures, non-formal education activities (courses, workshops, lectures etc).

Our regular activities include:
 informing
 cultural activities (concerts of popular and alternative music, theater performances, exhibitions, literary events, theme evenings, festivals)
 supporting local youth culture (supporting associations and non-organized groups)
 children´s and holiday programs
 international activities
 non formal education programs
 multimedia production
 sport activities
 etc.

The hosting organization works successfully in Slovenia and also on the international level. We would like to point out our goal of enhancing existing international cooperation in various fields. We aim to make our local area more open for cultural production, education, international cooperation and exchange of good practice in youth work. The international cultural centre with accommodation facilities is located close to the city centre, in the green heart of the city park, just a stone's throw away from the Brežice castle. The city and its surroundings are marked by a rich natural and cultural heritage. We put a special emphasis on supporting and promoting international cooperation and intercultural exchange. The hosting organization is a member of the Network of Youth Centres of Slovenia , YouthNET network, ImeNet network, multimedia centres of Slovenia network, etc. In 2013, the institute also acquired a Label of quality awarded by the Council of Europe.

The public institution Youth center was founded in 1997 with a decree of the Municipality, following an initiative of the coordination of youth organizations and many interested youngsters. March 22nd 1999 is the date that marks the active functioning and acquisition of the facilities, which were extended in 2010 and got a new look and additional contents.

Perfil: We’re looking for 2 volunteers that are interested in cultural heritage have some backgrounds in art, but it is not obligated. It is also desirable if they want to work with youngsters, to empower young people for active participation and are eager to learn and to get new experiences. We expect open minded, creative and highly motivated young people. We would like to host volunteers who have their own ideas to develop our project, which may have a specialized interest in arts & crafts, theatre, multimedia … and are fluent in English. We would like to include youngsters with fewer opportunities.

Tarefas: Working as a volunteer in our Centre is a good learning opportunity for young people. The main aim of this project is to face the environmental problems of this region work locally for global impact and take advantages of historical features and presenting them to the general public in order to learn about the originals of the intangible cultural heritage of this region. We will connect new product in the correlation and cooperation with actors who have knowledge of historical events in the region. The aim of this project is to encourage the volunteers and the local youth to reflect on the role they play in society and how they can contribute to improving it. Within the project we will also focused on promoting volunteerism (especially ESC) and active participation and citizenship among youth in the regions.

Volunteers will gain knowledge in project management and project writing, organizing workshops and other events of non-formal education activities, helping in organizing cultural events, performances, camps, doing researches, learning new languages – Slovenian, improve their level of English, helping in implementing different kind workshops and activities under new project historical village. Historical village will include workshops, which will show the intangible cultural heritage of the place (a way of life, customs, beliefs, everyday tasks handicrafts, entertainment, clothing, singing, dancing).

The main activities will be organized considering the competences and the attitudes of each volunteer, example: workshops for historical village, organizing and preparing different kind of activities (international and intercultural events and activities, languages courses for youth), involving youth people, organization and implementation activities for children (creative workshops, sports workshops, language courses, fairy tales for children, cooking workshops, intercultural workshops, holiday activities). They will have opportunity to prepare and implement workshops for young and adults (creative workshops, ICT workshops, personal growth workshops, prevention workshops, healthy lifestyles and other workshops on the initiative of young people). The young volunteers will be integrated in all daily activities regarding to their interests and their potentialities. All of our staff members are open minded, so it will be easy for the volunteers to feel comfortable in the team.
