Resumo: The Association is non-profit organization, independent of political parties and interests of economic groups with three priorities:
-monitoring of different natural localities to identificate ecological and environmental problems in region
-Environmental education
-Involving local people in solving problems and influence decrees about their environment

The Association was established in autumn 1993 as people reaction to reopen project of the water dam construction on the river.

Our mission is work in basin of the river, with aim to protect environment and natural values (we put trough public noticing protected area), environmental education and support involving public in to decrees about projects and documents influence environment. As well protection natural localities in town, where the Association seats.

We care of Lanice – rest of old river bank (collecting rubbish, doing away invasive species of plants and planting original species). We work on arranging walking paths around the pond which enable movement for visitors of this locality, at the same time existence valuable species of animals.

Other natural localities in region we follow and work on theirs responsive inclusion in to urban areas. We cooperate with 5 schools in town Zvolen on environmental education for children and young people

- excursions to interesting natural localities of region.

In the village – endangered preparing water dam construction we carry out public areas.

The Association cooperates with other NGO in town in non formal platform for communication with public bodies /local, regional municipalities/.

Perfil: age: 18-30

Tarefas: The project will be implemented to be flood in the dam already several decades. Because of limitation of public services and the people property it has become a kind of "laboratory" of dying than ever viable village following the young people departure.

Volunteer will assist in collecting information, care and rescue of indigenous varieties of fruit trees. He/she will learn to treat fruit trees, restore and preserve their gene pool, also learn to work with people who have these trees ever planted, but also with new settlers - people who now live in the country without the knowledge of its past.

In the former school with a library volunteer will help to organize community events and activities for children. Volunteer will participate in the reconstruction of garden and creating center for environmental education, co-organize activities for the public to promote environmentally friendly way of life.

While in the case of the organization is the result of external intervention of state power, many villages across the EU are facing a natural depopulation and the rural exodus to the cities. Empty place of the indigenous people, are changing the suburban recreational areas, or worse, disappear completely. In the village thanks to many years of activity descendants of local people and the Association reversed some of that trends - even using the work of volunteers, including those from abroad. Therefore, it is an inspiring place for informal learning and education.
Volunteer will work with young people in town, indigenous people in the village and their descendants, as well as volunteers from Slovakia and abroad.
