Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit organization that supports the sustainable development, organizing its activities focusing on the environment, the promotion of new technologies, the interaction among cultures, the social awareness and youth education, the advocacy of human rights and the promotion of social values such as democracy, freedom, equality and social justice.

The hosting organization disposes a rich historical background of actions, activities and programs, at national and European level. It is considered as a reliable organization not only from management authorities of European Programs (ERASMUS+, EACEA, EuropeAid, Youth in Action, Grundtvig), but also from the private sector with the biennial support of Vodafone for Planetbook Program, the first board/floor game about environment.

Through the implementation of national and European programs and the actions, which the organization carries out, it is achieved the mobilization of all social groups, individuals of all ages, with fewer opportunities and from vulnerable social groups, who wish to develop their personal and social skills and to achieve their adaptation or reintegration in the community. The organazion devotes special attention to minorities, supporting their fights against discrimination, violence and racism.

From the beginning of its foundation, the organization promotes the spirit of volunteerism and superintends for its development and dissemination through voluntary actions. It is noteworthy that the organization disposes an experience in the management and development of voluntary groups for the urban development environment. Within this framework created and coordinates in the Park the “Volunteer Network”, consisting of 170 volunteers and organizes continuously activities for the protection, development and satisfaction of the needs of the park.

A basic activity of the organization is the implementation of experiential and educational programs to students of primary and secondary education. The interaction between the organization and schools has lead to the creation of a Network: the "Green Schools Network” that is addressed to students, teachers and parents. Through this network, all of them are informed for voluntary actions and events.

In conclusion, an achievement of the organization is the creation and maintenance of a network of cooperation with other non-governmental organizations and independent bodies, within Greek borders and outside.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The proposed project includes a volunteering activity related to migration, diversity and discrimination topics to be implemented in Athens for 6 months.

The volunteers will develop and disseminate a series of informational and awareness videos and materials for the general public and youth workers in the above mentioned topics.
