Resumo: The hosting organization is a social cooperative active since 1987. From 1997 to 2018 our International Mobility Department acted as a sending and coordinating organisation in the framework of European Voluntary Service projects.
From 2000 to 2013, the organization sent over 650 young participants abroad, who carried out internships in Europe through "Leonardo da Vinci" programme.
Since 2009, the cooperative has been involved in hosting European participants willing to carry out internships in companies, non-profit organizations and public bodies located in out area.
The organization hosted a Eurodesk center for 10 years and, from January 2018, acquired the management of the Europe Direct Center.
From January 2018 the organization has been managing a solidarity emporium in a rented space, in the historic center of the city. The store is aimed at the free distribution of food in favor of people in conditions of economic poverty: food is donated both by large retailers and by small businesses, even in the neighborhood. Around the project, several public, private and non-profit organisations have joined, in a perspective of collaboration and synergy. Alongside Emporio's main activity, linked to the collection and distribution of food surpluses, the organization has created a vegetable garden for the production of vegetables for distribution.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas:  Arrangement of food surpluses on the shelves of the store and in the warehouse;
 Weekly control of deadlines both of short-term long-term products;
 Support the volunteers during the opening of the store;
 Arrangement of food in excess in packages to be delivered to other associations;
 After closing, supporting the cleaning of the store and placing the missing goods from the warehouse on the shelves;
 Waste management with an overview to recycling;
 Participation in mandatory HACCP training ;
 Participation and support for information evenings open to the citizens and to the actors involved in the project;
 Participation in solidarity dinners and fundraising events;
 Research and exchange of good practices with other European countries on the topics of food surpluses and the right to food;
 Participation in food collections at stores that have signed collaboration agreements
