Resumo: The hosting organization has been carrying out its activities since 2007. Since the beginning of its existence, it has focused its activities on supporting the development of the region and the community life and gradually expanding its activities through the operation of project workplaces. Since June 2009, the Youth Information Center has been running, since September 2009 the Civic Center.
In 2011, the Volunteer Center was accredited, SeniorPoint Prachatice was opened in 2015 - a contact point for seniors. Since 2016, a workplace has been established: a healthy lifestyle counseling. Since 2014, we have been actively working with families. Priority is given to activities in the place of his activity, in the region and the South region. We provide educational, leisure, educational and counseling activities for children, adults and seniors, including people with disabilities (disability, social exclusion, etc.). We try to implement most of the activities with an emphasis on integration and intergenerational meetings.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer will get to know the work of organisation and will be mainly involved in the preparation and implementation of the leisure time activities for the public – starting with creation of the posters, spreading to the info boards and places, preparation (shopping of materials, preparation of the samples, etc.),placing materials on the tables to the final introduction and explanation to the participants and creation.

Next field is the work with information – research, collection, processing of information important for the information and consultation service of the Youth Information centre Prachatice.
There will be organized the presentations related to the EVS in the organisation and also at the local schools (Secondary grammar school, Social higher vocational school).

Depending of the period of the year there are also activities addressed to the seniors/elderly people – Academy of the third age (kind of lectures as senior university). There are prepared presentations and lectures for adults on healthy life style, financial literacy, personal development, etc.

All those activities has educational base (from leisure time spending to the workshops and presentations) when the volunteers develop the way of work with children and young people, adults and also seniors in the experiencing approach of pedagogy including also social work and psychology.

Volunteers will gain and develop the competences in the filed of psycho – social learning, language, creativity, etc.
There is alos space to join the tutoring (for specific school lessons) with the clients, participation in the adaptation courses for schools, educational seminars and activities for the volunteers and those interested in the volunteering, organisation of presentation for public (about the volunteers’ home country, traditions, etc.), leading the language tea-room (opportunity to teach the mother tongue of the volunteers, lessons or conversations in other languages).

There will be provided all conditions and support for the implementation of the activities – e.g. materials for leisure time activities, facilities for the presentations, etc.
One volunteer will be focused on the work with children and young people and one for the activities with the seniors. According to the needs, interest and motivation there will be opportunity of exchanging in regular period of time to have learning experience in both fields of activities and target groups.

Condições: Accommodation: in the building of the organisation, 2 flats - individual bed rooms, each with 3 beds, fully equipped with the furniture, shared bathroom and toilette, there is common kitchen with cooker, kettle, fridge and the necessary equipment, there is separated entrance to the building from the side of the town park.
