Resumo: The aim of our institution is to assist people with disabilities in living, working and educational interests. The persons with special needs shall be included into society and thereby be as independant as possible.
The organization is a small organisation in Upper Austria offering a living house for 14 persons with special needs and different workshop groups for 45 persons. In the living house people are cared for round the clock (dressing, shopping, cooking, going for walks, cleaning, leisure time activities).
In the workshop groups activities are offered corresponding tot he talents and ressources the persons with special needs have. The workshop groups are for example: creative group, garden group, cooking group, multi media group.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The volunteer will be in different handycraft workshops, i.e. creative or garden group, kitchen group, wood and metal works according to his preferences and talents. Times will be Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4 pm, Fridays 7.30 am to 12.30 am, Weekends will be free.
The role of the volunteers is to bring in an added value of quality of activities and support for marginalized people and they should bring in Europe and their mentality/culture nearer to those people in every activity inside the organisation. The volunteers are involved in talking to clients, companionship, accompanying clients on social and recreational activities and assisting their daily life through socialisation and promotion of intercultural games, music and activities in general, helping them with breakfast, cooking with them typical dishes from their country...
Horário: The volunteer will do about 30 to 34 hours a week. There is general flexibility guaranteed if volunteers need special days off.
