Resumo: Association BIOM was founded in 2006 as an NGO active in the field of nature conservation with the special emphasis on the protection of wild birds and their habitats. The objectives of the Association are to protect nature and the environment, to increase public awareness about biodiversity, species and habitat endangerment as well as promote sustainable development and sustainable use of natural resources.

BIOM has to date gathered more than 340 members and several hundred supporters. BIOM also employs 18 experts dealing with various aspects of nature protection such as application of research-based conservation actions, education and cooperation with stakeholders and general public, stimulation of corporate social responsibility, and advocating for higher standards in the environmental protection sector. BIOM has successfully finished over 150 different projects financed from Croatian and European funds. In addition, BIOM is well connected to other environmental NGOs in the region and part of larger conservation networks.

In 2011, BIOM became a member of IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), and in 2013 we became the BirdLife affiliate partner in Croatia. Tarefas: As a volunteers, you will run the Human Rights Cafe, and help promote and intercultural learning, while developing yourself on a new level, taking up new challenges and projects.
