Resumo: The hosting organization is a civic association and it was officially opened in September 2013.

The Centre cooperates with all NGOs, public organizations, institutions, and informal initiatives which are interested in the cooperation with volunteers or in the development of long-term volunteer programs. The center is not sending volunteers to corporations and for-profit organizations (with the exception of private health care and social centers).

The center is creating the database of persons willing to volunteer and at the same time the database of organizations with their volunteering opportunities. Organizations are able to register several volunteer opportunities – each having a described position and detailed description of a volunteer activity. The Centre is promoting these positions on its web-page and also in monthly newsletter sent to volunteers and potential volunteers in Bratislava. There are also articles, pictures and videos of volunteer involving organizations at this web-page. The role of the organization is to promote these offers to volunteers.

Perfil: We are looking for someone ready to take up new challenges, who likes to work with children and youth. He /she should be enthusiastic about growing their personal and professional skills and prepared for unexpected experiences. Being a student or graduated in humanitarian discipline is an advantage. Required qualities include: flexibility, creativity, empathetic, selfreliant and responsible, communicative and capable of doing nonstereotype work. As this is mainly work with children and youth, the participant should be prepared to work in the afternoon and evening hours directly on the street.
Age: 18-30

Tarefas: During the project you will prepare and implement free time activities for children and youth from the socially disadvantaged environment, doing street work in different parts of the city, support other projects of the organization, participate in the preparation of new projects, improve photo/camera/graphic skills and help with events and activities. You can also create your own project connected to youth work.

Condições: We will provide you an accommodation. You will live in a flat or a house with other foreign volunteers in Bratislava. Every month, you will get pocket money and money for food and transport according to the standard of living in the hosting country.
