Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit NGO, established in 2008, with 4 major fields of activities:- local youth work- international youth work- design, implementation and facilitation of seminars and training courses for (international) youth workers in the field of non formal learning- psychotherapy and psychological counseling.We organise workshops and free time activities for local children and youngsters like sports, outdoor activities, creative activities and social games to improve their social skills. From 2008 till present we've organised this activities at different places, but on 1.st of March 2015 we are going to open our own Children and Youth Centre.

This will give us the possibility to be even more active and we are going to add new activities to our programme - puppets and drama group, dance group, hand craft lessons and thematic evenings for the young people where we will discuss and have workshops about different important issues of the world today. In the spring and in the summer we will organise intergenerational cultural festivals.Our international youth work includes hosting & sending EVS projects, time-out and experiential learning projects for Belgian youngsters. In the field of EVS we organise short term projects for volunteers with fewer opportunities.

Untill now we've hosted more than 60 short term volunteers from many different countries.The volunteers who will come to us from March 2015 on will be able do develop a wide range of skills in our Children and Youth Centre - from practical skills like painting the walls, making furniture, working in the garden and with animals to creative, communication and social skills while joining or leading the activities for children and youth. They will improve their team work skills, learn the basics of the project management and get an important intercultural experience through living together with volunteers from other countries and through the contacts with the local community.

The hosting orgnization has over 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of local and international educational events for youth leaders and workers. This can be on the level of team building, international cooperation and volunteering, intercultural learning, capacity building of youth workers and organisations, especially in the field of working with inclusion groups.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteers are included in different activities – for children, young people, adults with disabilities, high schools etc.. We have a house and there is always a lot of practical work to be done – taking care of the garden and orchard, taking care of animals, cleaning… Next to this we do solidarity activities at other places – for example helping on a farm with rescued animals and helping with different events.
Once a week we prepare a workshop for volunteers (communication, intercultural learning, problem solving…)
