Resumo: The foundations works to promote the education, the quality of life and the labour insertion of the people with intellectual disability, and also mental illness and other communities in risk of exclusion, creating and managing centers, services, programs, supports and business activities with excellence criteria. We have integral services, attending to persons from the 3 years until the old age. The volunteers could do their services in diurnal attention centers, or houses and residential services, giving an individual attention according to the characteristics, needs and wishes of the person. We consider a basic value the maintenance of the familiar bonds and friendships, for this reason we promote the participation of these persons in the asistencial and educational process. Also we promote the inclusion, making multiple activities in the own community ( cultural activities, sport, leisure, etc ).

Perfil: Age: 18-30
 Motivation for the project.
 Capacity versus empathic and sensitive people with communication difficulties
 Adaptability, initiative to leisure activities proposed.
 Personality dynamic.
 Ability to transmit the culture of voluntary.
 Minimal knowledge of the Spanish language.
 Priority will be given to those volunteers with experience in the field of intellectual disabilities or those with an interest in training in this field.
 The project will be in EVS data base.
 We will considerer all CV to arrive throught e-mail, or others platforms....

Tarefas: The Foundation is working with EVS since 2000, as the host institution. Now we will begin in European Solidarity Corps program.

The Foundation participates in the European Voluntary Service for the enrichment that means having, on its volunteers and workers, volunteers from other European countries.

Every year, it hosts four volunteers. They are incorporate in centers of diurnal attention or in houses and residential services, for people with intellectual disability, mental illness or in risk of social exclusion, like support to monitors.

Since the beginning we have lived the participation in this action in a very positive way and in a way where cultural diversity is included in an environment that rarely allows international travelling, and also the volunteers help to make aware of the community we attend, in his original country.

PROPOSED ACTIVITIES:
The service goal is to provide comprehensive care to persons with intellectual disabilities.
- Principles inspiring social care policies (integration, equality, ...)
- Legal and regulatory framework of care for people with intellectual disabilities in Catalonia
- Types of centers and services
- Planning of services based on different levels of intellectual disabilities
- Development and direct care planning for people with disabilities
- Coexistence continued with people with intellectual disabilities
- Coexistence continued with educators of various services
- From this coexistence generates volunteer supportive attitudes towards people with disabilities and becomes a sensitizing agent for society
- Learning at alternative communication systems, nonverbal
- Planning learning activities tailored
- Learning activities tailored music therapy, drama adapted ...
- Knowledge of local and regional environment through different leisure activities planned
- Sensitivity towards people
