Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-governmental non-profit organization that has been working with volunteers for over 7 years. Our vision is a world where citizens are socially aware and motivated towards working for positive change.

The organization’s main profile is volunteer management. We receive international volunteers from all over the world and place them within the local community on well run, ethical placements. In 2017, we placed more than 200 individual volunteers who volunteered in the following activities: Teaching, Childcare, Animal Care, After School Support, NGO support, and Agriculture.

In addition, we managed 3 large groups who took part in community building projects. To support our international volunteers who do not speak the local language, and to better integrate the foreign volunteers with the local community, the organization also works with a strong team of local volunteers. In addition, the organization offers extracurricular activities such as tours in the region, with the aim of enhancing volunteers’ experience and supporting the local tourist industry.

Tarefas: - The main activity will be facilitating a Green Club, twice a week. It will involve the presentation of ways to sustainable trash management, do it yourself tutorials (about recycling and up-cycling) that can help to reduce waste, but it will mostly work as debate clubs, where participants can share and discuss their opinion on different topics.
- we plan to have stand in shops, we can call "Green stands", a total of 3-4 times during the project. we will target three local shops to promote eco-conscious shopping for bypassers. Volunteers will also have the task of creating posters that raise awareness of eco-conscious shopping and that will be used in several local shops.
-participants will facilitate presentations in schools. This activity will repeat weekly. The aim of these will be to shock the students about the consequences of unsustainable rubbish management, hoping to raise awareness on the topic and motivate them to take part in the Green Clubs.
- Litter picking actions will be promoted throught social media and can sometimes involve Green Club participants and will target different highly polluted areas.
Similar to the Green Stands volunteers will go to 6-7 events throughout the project. By the time the project starts appear at such events, volunteers will have done a lot of research and will be broadly informed on the topic and can give "personalized" information for those interested, through discussions and handing out fliers printed on recycled paper created at the Green Clubs.
