Resumo: The Youth Center for Culture and Education operates as the logistical and functional hub for youth in the fields of development, information, education, social affairs, cultural and leisure activities, and social inclusion of youth.

The organization is divided into several program units, which through years of experience have grown in number and, therefore, offer additional opportunities for activities. The Velenje Youth Center offices as well as our hostel. My Club, a facility for people with mental health problems and persons with disabilities, operates at the same location in the morning hours, whereas different workshops and learning aid programs for school children and youth are offered in the afternoon.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are searching for open, self initiative and motivated volunteer. Volunteer will have the opportunity to learn in the non formal way on different learning fields, but always through active participation. If you are ready for some selfgrowth, new experiences, creativity, outside the box thinking, new people, new friends, you are very welcome!

Tarefas: Volunteers will get to know all the activities of Youth Centre, but the emphasis will be working with children in the afternoon centre SMO (centre for youth and children). These are primary school children that come from different social backgrounds and most do not have other free-time activities, since parents cannot afford them. The volunteers and employees will carry out activities and workshops.

Other working fields: My club is a daily centre, established with the purpose of giving people with mental health problems and other disabilities option to socialize. In project Udarnik MC Velenje they can be a part of solidarity projects like helping the elderly and those who, because of health issues, can't do the work themselves. Volunteers can learn the basics of design, outdoor video recording and editing in KRMC Kunigunda. In the eMCe plac club they can help with exibitons and concerts but mostly this is the space where they will get to meet local youngsters.

Condições: Accomodation: Private room in volunteer appartment, sharing kitchen (equiped) and bathroom (toilet, shower) with other volunteer. Appartment is in students dorm, on the top floor. Dorm is mantain by our organisation. It's few minutes away from the city Center and just one minute from work place :) Food: Account in biggest supermarket Mercator in city (it has everything and it's open all days in week) Public transport (bus and bicycles) is free!
