Resumo: The Social Welfare Home is an organizational unit financed in the form of budgetary unit.

The task of the Social Welfare Home is to provide residents with the full time care and to meet their essential needs: living needs, nursery needs and provide support in accordance with applicable standards, and to enable inhabitants to properly take advantage of the health services. The inhabitants are between 50 and 100 years old, a lot of them with disabilities and/or other diseases.

The Social Welfare Home has 79 sleeping places, including the single and double rooms and 17 sleeping places in the rooms for 3-4 residents - for those requiring increased medical care. This beautifully designed house with a garden is a unique place for a worthy life. The house is equipped with residents’ rooms, a large dining room, common-room, meeting day-care room, rehabilitation, occupational therapy and a chapel. The building also has a cafeteria, where Residents will be happy to spend their free time. The health condition of the inhabitants is appropriately supervised by a qualified staff. We cooperate with family doctors, we also carry out visits in specialized clinics. Residents can develop abilities, skills and pursue their dreams during classes in Occupational Therapy. This kind of therapy involve a.o. bibliotherapy, sociotherapy, musicotherapy, arttherapy. We guide 7 thematic group: IT group, movie, DIY ("do it yourself"), logic games, book club, gardening and praying.

Cultural-educational instructors provide them with all the entertainment, and therapists care about the health of the inhabitants of the house. Social workers help dealing with personal matters as well as formal and legal matters at the office. Both the decor and the domestic atmosphere of the house allow its residents to feel like in one’s own home, what they often confirm. In the garden surrounding the building the arbor (with a barbecue and a pond inside) was built, which is often used for outdoor events. Residents also have the ability to partake different kinds of trips and sightseeing tours organized by our Home.

Perfil: Volunteer should be rather extrovert person with good manners, open to people and new experiences. S/he should respect the limits of the inhabitants of House. Above, should be responsible and not to hesitate to ask the staff for help if needed.

Volunteers support work mainly in Occupational Therapy, e.g.art therapy, music therapy, bibliotherapy, etc., take part in all the events organized for the residents and help in transportation of the residents to the rehabilitation.
