Resumo: The project invites you to explore the interconnectedness between the local and the global, to promote solidarity and active citizenship by volunteering in a specific hosting organization, participating in and organizing solidarity events, creating eco postcards, etc. Join!
The hosting organization since 1991 offers social and cultural services to young people aged 14 t o 29 years. We consult and provide training to other organizations and individuals about volunteering and youth work. The team is young, dynamic and adheres to the concept of LifeLong Learning ;)
The aims
*To contribute to the development of the concept and the realities of volunteering in Lithuania, to create positive conditions for volunteering.
*To provide social services to young people.
*To provide information, consultation and training services to individuals and legal entities.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
* have a very good command of English (spoken and written)
* have a positive attitude towards the idea of volunteering in general and the willingness to promote it in the society
* are interested in publicity topic: articles, making photos, organizing events and etc.
* willing to engage in a direct contact with various youngsters, not afraid of contact and open to meet and communicate
* Since part of the tasks of the volunteer will be about administrati on and paper work, the qualityof diligence and attentiveness would be also very important
Tarefas: * Representation/ publicity in various events and social media
*Promotion of volunteering in events, sc hool visits;
*Running the volunteers’ blog: doing in terviews, writing articles;
*Administrative tasks related to volunteering project s (paper work, post visits
*Technical/practical works in the hosting organization and volunteers’ flats (invent ory, keeping an overview about the condition of flats, purchasing necessary things, etc.)
* 2-4 times a month a day with the youngsters of the hosting organization: workshops, lessons, cultural meetings , cooking, projects promoting volunteering activities, etc.
Condições: Volunteering app. 35 hours/week
