Resumo: The hosting organization was established in 2000. It is a youth association which organizes projects connected to human rights, promotion of tolerance, voluntary service, support of local democracy, spreading information about programmes and possibilities for the development of youth and adults. One of the main aims is working on the civic attitudes of young people. The hosting organization is a regional organization that focuses on international work with young people, including youth exchanges, voluntary service and youth initiatives. We also cooperate with South Eastern Europe and EECA countries. Currently, the Associations gathers have 40 members, 70 volunteers and 8 full-time employees.

The main aims of the Association are:
- to promote international co-operation and understanding between young people from different countries and different cultures,
- to provide young people with the opportunity to gain international experience for their personal and professional development,
- making young people aware of their cultural heritage, as the base of their awareness,
- to develop regional, national and European consciousness of young people,
- promotion of volunteering- local and international, as a way towards active citizenship,
- promoting international co-operation and understanding among young people from different countries and cultures,
- to support the interest of young people in historical and political reality in Europe,
- to encourage the involvement of young people in cultural initiatives,
- to promote Poland and the Lower Silesia region in Europe.

Target groups – mainly youth, but also children, seniors, support workers (teachers, youth workers, etc)

The main profiles of our Association are:
- international youth exchanges, e.g. artistic and educational workshops,
- voluntary service - national and international field,
- international internships,
- cultural events,
- civil and democracy education - cooperation with youth councils in the region,
- conferences, training and seminars for young leaders and youth workers.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Firstly, volunteers have the task to debunk stereotypes about their home culture, countries and religion as well as conduct human rights and intercultural learning activities. The target groups are mostly children and youngsters, especially in schooling age, but activities are also conducted in collaboration with other institutions, organisations and NGOs which are targeting groups who are experiencing exclusion and fewer opportunities (e.g. homeless elderly people, children living in orphanages, after school programmes dedicated to children and youngsters from disadvantaged background, women victims of domestic violence, people involved in correction facility or jail).

The volunteer will organize activities performed at schools, kindergartens and for elderly people. Topics are different, culture of their country, political problems, human rights, teaching languages. During deadlines, volunteers are asked to help with writing projects and support office job at the association. Volunteers are also helping to take care of students, who are doing internships in Poland.
