Resumo: The hosting organization was founded in 1983 as a charitable, not-for-profit youth educational provider.

It pursues objectives of :
- Practice-oriented educational projects
- Cultural and inter-cultural education
- Promotion of social commitment
- Imparting of promoting occupational competencies, e.g. basic craft skills and social abilities
- Imparting of skills qualifying for a profession, e.g. graduation/qualification, support by offering tutoring, support by employment exchange
- Socio-pedagogical, psychological coaching and reprocessing consequences of unemployment of the young

The institution aims at supporting young people who are at the point of entering occupational life. There are 26 professionals employed by the association, only youth workers with practical backgrounds.

The association takes place in Heidelberg, rich city of south Germany, which globally does not suffer so much of unemployment, but of lack of link between the formal education and the practical education, especially for youngsters with few opportunities and social backgrounds disabilities, for which the education frame is not adapted.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for volunteers who have handicraft skills or experience and knowledge in the field of media design. Furthermore, you should like to be creative and get in touch with people from other countries and cultures.

Tarefas: Our volunteers will be part of our team and they will be in charge of the practical educational projects at different schools in the region.
Depending on your talents or favourite skills you can choose activities in the field of different handcrafts, media, arts and more.

You will also have the possibility to find out more about your talents, to learn new craft skills and to activate your social and intercultural competences.
The project portfolio is guided by the idea of a complementary to school education and serving as preparation for the occupational choice. These programmes are designed to discover and promote talents, to extend skills and competencies and to provide targeted occupational orientation

Condições: The volunteer will receive his food allowance and pocket money at the beginning of each month wich represent 400 €
The volunteer will also have a bicycle.
We pay maximum 275 € for travel costs
