Resumo: This placement is part of already accepted ESC volunteering project, which includes 8 volunteers working in 11 different places in and around of the town. 1 volunteer is still needed for Residential treatment institution for kids, which is organized as a group of community home for children and youth with behavioral and emotional disorders.

Perfil: Candidates should be motivated, flexible, patient, creative, open-minded, self-initiative, communicative, interested to work with children with special needs and he/she should have a good an ability to speak English. Some past experiences from pedagogy, psychology, and psychotherapy are more than welcome. It is good if the volunteer has the ability in music, sport, manual activities, handicrafts, dances, art, multimedia, the sport would be also convenient. The future volunteer should bring in her/his own ideas into the project and be prepared to create, plan and execute her/his own.

Tarefas: Volunteer will be involved in the program, which includes diverse socio-pedagogical activities, counselling, sports, arts and other activities. Part of the volunteering will be also realised in the local primary school for kids with special needs. Through his/her activities the volunteer will get familiar with the theory of preventing work with youngsters and with social care and education system in Slovenia. Volunteer will also have opportunity to realize projects within other local partner organizations.

Condições: The volunteer will be accommodated together with other volunteers of the project in a furnished apartment with WiFi on the main square of a old historical town with about 13000 inhabitants. Each volunteer will stay in a single bedroom with shared cooking, washing, laundry, and social facilities. The volunteer will cook by himself/herself, monthly food allowance will be provided (180 €). He/she will be also entitled to receive a monthly allowance of 120 €. Bike and tickets for public transportation will be provided.
