Tarefas:
B. Proposed activities for EVS volunteers

Volunteering in our organization is a unique possibility to understand Polish culture directly through work and staying with people. The volunteers have the opportunity to work on personal development and self confidence through the contact with young people and to improve their skills, abilities in group work with people of different personalitites, age and background (employees and Polish volunteers of the Centre, other EVS volunteers, young people involved in the Centre activities). Volunteers have also a possibility to learn how to plan, implement and evaluate international youth projects in practise. Morover, volunteers meet young people from many different European Union and neighbourhood countries (east European, Caucasus and south-east European). Volunteers will participate in a few international projects in Poland and, if possible, go on one abroad.
Volunteers will be living together with other EVS volunteers from different countries in one flat.

In the office there are working 6 employees, 1-3 Polish volunteers and 1-2 EVS volunteers. We are based on a team work.
Proposed activities for the EVS volunteers are:

1. Help in organizing international youth projects.
Volunteers will be working as assistance to the different Project Managers. We have a few Project Managers resposible for different projects like international youth exchanges, study visits, training courses and seminars. EVS volunteers together with the Polish volunteers are working, according to the up-to-date need, with one or another Project Manager in planning, implementing and evalutaing these projects. Project Manager + volunteers create a "project team", which is working in a group to realize the project.

The examples of the volunteers tasks are:
- planning the projects' programme together with the project team,
- contacts with future Polish and/or foregin participants,
- help in administration work,
- translations,
- help with preparatory meetings of Polish participants groups,
- help in running some activities during the project and if wanted running independantly some activities, e.g. socializing and getting to know each other games, the country presentations, free time activities,
- help in preparation of publications after project,
- taking photos during the project and making short films about the project,
- leading the group in the city,
- help with summing up evaluation forms,
- attending evaluation meetings with the project team,
- help with webside and Face-book profile administration.

2.Help in organizing and running organizational events.
Except of the long-term project from time to time we organize small events like association members' meetings, "cultural evenings" or one-day youth meetings (e.g. workshops, conferences), in which participate hundreds of young people. EVS volunteers' tasks depand on the type of the event and skills/interest of the volunteer.

3. Help in everyday work of the organization.
Everyday organization works require some office work (e.g. fax sending, documents copying, correspondence sending), meetings different people (usually youth) interested in what we are doing & keeping the office in order. Volunteers' tasks is to take part in all that work when is needed equally with other volunteers and emplyees.

It is also possible for the volunteer to create his/her own activities if they are connected with the mission of the organization.

Horário: EVS volunteers working hours are during the weekdays between 10.00 - 17.00. Anyhow weekend working is also required during the projects -these working days can be taken off in another time.

Condições: On the next working day after the volunteers' arrival there is an on-arrival meeting with the project coordinator. All the rules of the flats, where volunteers live and other information enabling the volunteer to be independent are explained. Volunteers get the all the emergency contacts -addresses of host and coordinating organization, telephone numbers to coordinators, alarm telephones to police, fire-brigade etc.

In the second month of the volunteers' arrival we organize extra on-arrival training for the volunteers. It is a complement to on-arrival trainings organized by Polish National Agency. The aim of the training is to get to know other volunteers, mentors and the coordinating organization, to rise awareness about situation of Polish organization and discuss philosophy of voluntary service.

We organize regular meetings with all the volunteers we coordinate -once a month. The aim of the meetings is to discuss some current issues and to evaluate. Volunteers stay also in telephone contact with the coordinator.
We stay in a regular contact with the sending organization.

Except of the project coordinator each volunteer has project manager fixed. S/he is responsible for volunteer's work and development.
Due to the great responsibility issues the host place is open only for youth over 18 years old.

Formação: European Voluntary Service projects is a method to fulfill mission of our organization. These projects target in 3 different groups - volunteers, organizations and local society. Volunteers can develop themselves in different spheres, learning (among other things) about cultures of other European countries. Organizations gain international contacts and "fresh" ideas for their activities, which volunteers bring. Moreover host organizations develop their service by giving possibility for their target group to meet somebody from abroad. People from the local society, which have contact with the volunteers, confronts their stereotypes about other countries and learn openness for others.

Centre for Youth Cooperation and Mobility started as host organization in the year 2005 with 3 volunteers. Since 2006 we send and coordinate projects. Currently we host and coordinate around ten volunteers.
