Resumo: The Foundation of Social Integration was established in 2004 in Poland.
A valuable resource of Foundation are its employees: solid team consists of eight people, including three specialists from fundraising and coordination of projects. Annually, on the projects employ on a contract or work order about 20 people. Foundation also use the help of interns from Work Office (1 pers. / year) and European volunteers of the Erasmus+ (4 pers. / year ). Accounting is conducted by an external company, the same since almost 10 years. We have a solid substantive partners e.g. various Roma Association in Poland; Center for Information and Social Development.

The main goal of the Foundation is to integrate and support people from disadvantaged backgrounds; to enable them to participate in educational and cultural events; to promote them in society; to fight against discrimination, intolerance and lack of acceptance towards the most helpless groups in Poland (the poorest, unemployed, Roma minority). The major need is to break off the negative stereotypes and know each other by acting together.

The main fields of activity: helping children and adolescents (we run a community center for Roma and Polish children), supporting Roma minority (food distribution, social campaign, vocational training, internship, subsidized employment), legal advice (for Poles and Roma), popularizing knowledge about Roma (books and comics); since 2009 hosting volunteers from Europe - EVS (since 2011 we are a sending and coordinating org. – first coordinated project in 2014) – international cooperation (forums to exchange experiences in work with Roma community in the Visegrad countries).

In the years 2004 - 2006 and since 2008 we ran two centers integrating Polish and Roma kids, which included support for about 120 children, and since 2009 children's dance team. From 2013 we implement a program to support Roma women. In 2011-2014, we implemented projects: Roma and Polish on One Backyard, You have right and Different Citizens of One City (partner - Municipality) funded by the Human Capital Operational Programme EU Funds.

In frame of these projects we organized free legal, psychological, social, health, educational advices addressed to the Roma minority. In 02.2012 – 07.2013 we ran project Roma rising and a social campaign Some of the many (1.3.1 Human Capital Operational Programme). The main aim was to improve the image of the Roma. As part of the campaign photo exhibitions of successful Polish Roma were organized in several cities of the region, murals were created, short films, website, interviews with Roma people, photo album were made. The campaign was a success and thanks to EU Funds continued in 2014-2015 in three other Polish regions. Photo Exhibition Roma rising V4 which took place in March 2014 was presented in the European Parliament in Brussels. In April 2015 it was in Prime Minister’s Office and in 2016 the exhibition was presented in one of Warsaw’s art galleries.

For several years we have been publishing books mainly devoted to the problems of the Roma community in South-Eastern Europe. Some of the most interesting and unique are: comic books History of the Roma in the pictures, Drom - Way - The history of the Roma in Europe, Forgotten Roma professions and Roma children of the world - guide for teachers (funded by Visegrad Funds or Polish Ministry of Administration and Digitization). In recognition of Foundation's services for the integration of the Roma, in 2015 we received the European Citizen's Prize. Awards ceremony was held in the European Parliament in October 2015.
