Resumo: The project will give the volunteer the opportunity to grow and to learn in a communitarian and intercultural urban context in a great change and to develop intercultural competences through different kind of activities and methodologies. The project will help the volunteer to gain specific competences in social inclusion, such as intercultural communication, mediation skills, conflicts management and exploitation of differences, but also key competences, such as team-work, leadership, problem solving and crisis management.

male

Tarefas: The volunteer will be welcomed in a placement which have a strong connection with the communitarian contexts where they’re settled in and in which they organize the activities in relation to the local dimension: The volunteer will support the placement in the management of integration and welcoming paths for migrants in communitarian contexts, rural and urban ones. He will help in the organization of leisure activities, meeting and dialogue for the local
population.

Condições: The volunteer will live in the Social Housing. This place wants to promote to coexistence of different social categories by fostering the interaction and the creation of new solidarity contacts between the beneficiaries. The place hosts at the moment 12 adults (18-50) economically self-sufficient who are going through a period of temporary vulnerability. Il Sentiero allows them to reorganize and orientate again themselves.

The volunteer will share the apartment with a student (male). The accommodation is a studio flat, provided with all the comfort needed and wifi connection.
The food will be provided by Il Sentiero Social Housing (every month extra money will be given to the volunteer).
