Resumo: Work in inter-active science museum.

Perfil: A volunteer should be communicative and open for new experiences, creative and inventive.
It is welcome if the volunteer has basic English language skills and is willing to study Polish, which would help a lot in the daily
live of a volunteer and will enable him/her to be more involved into the organisation’s life.
Both male and female volunteers are wanted.
The volunteer should be interested in methods of active education, open for people from other countries and cultures and like
to co-operate and work in group. S/he should be open-minded to contribute with one’s own creativity and willing to develop
his/her personality.

Tarefas: Volunteer has the opportunity to explore an interactive exhibition, broaden their
own knowledge and creativity. Educators in EXPERYMENT Science Centre are responsible for presenting our interactive
exhibition to the guests, preparing different activities for and making experiments with them.Volunteer will get to know the
methods of an active education. Firstly, the volunteer will become acquinted with the whole exhibition as well as with every
exhibit separately. S/he will watch the activities which will be conducted in the EXPERYMENT and become familiar with other
educators’ duties.
Volunteers’ activities could be:
presenting the exhibition to the groups of guests;
preparing and showing the experiments for and with the guests;
preparing and conducting different activities for groups of children and youth;
participation in outdoor activites – science festivals;
preparing and conducting workshops for families

Condições: On the next working day after the volunteers’ arrival there is an on-arrival meeting with the project coordinator (CYCM). All
the rules of the flats, where volunteers live and other information enabling the volunteer to be independent are explained.
Volunteers get the all the emergency contacts. In the second month of the volunteers’ arrival coordinating organization
organizes extra on-arrival training for the volunteers. It is a complement to on-arrival trainings organized by Polish NA. The
aim of the training is to get to know other volunteers, mentors and the coordinating organization and discuss philosophy of
voluntary service.
Coordinating organization organizes regular meetings with volunteers. The aim of the meetings is to discuss some current
issues and to evaluate. Coordinating organization stays in a regular contact with the host and sending organization.
At work volunteer is in tutors care and is never left alone. Before s/he starts to the work with specific group of visitors s/he is
informed about specifics of the unit and provided with all answers to the questions. The volunteer is acquainted with the whole
exhibition as well as with every exhibit separately. S/he watches the activities which are conducted in the EXPERYMENT and
become familiar with other educators’ duties. Due to the great responsibility issues the host place is open only for youth over
18 years old. AXA insurance covers all accidents, that may happen at work place.

Formação: EVS gives an opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge with the volunteers who comes from
different cultures and countries. Thanks to EVS our organisation can gain international contacts and ”fresh” ideas for the
activities, which volunteers bring.
Volunteers in our organisation can develop themselves in different spheres. They will have a possibility to work with other
young people and to get to know how science centre works. They can spend time with people in every age and have a good
fun the same time. Additionally, they can meet tourists from abroad who visit EXPERYMENT Science Centre. Our main goal
which is “learning through fun” can help them broaden their own knowledge.
