Resumo: Our library is a municipal library providing services to over 8000 users. The main volunteering activities will take place in the library branch called “Family library”. As a municipal library we not only provide traditional library services but also work as a community and culture center organizing events for children, youth and seniors, teaching digital literacy skills, organizing educational workshops for children and overall bringing the community together.
Main Aims
To contribute to the development of the information and knowledge society;
To uphold the values of democracy, the right to information, cultural openness and respect for intellectual property;
To develop cultural competences and creativity;
To contribute to non-formal education and to promote lifelong learning.
About the project
The project invites you to explore the interconnectedness between the local and the global, to promote solidarity and active citizenship by volunteering in a specific hosting organization, participating in and organizing solidarity events, creating eco-postcards, etc. Join!
Perfil: You are a team-player, creative and open-minded;
You like working and socializing with children, youth or seniors;
You want to improve or exercise your communication skills;
Want to improve or exercise skills such as, graphic design, photography, social networking, or digital competences;
Not afraid taking tasks and challenges in the fields where you have little or no experience.
Age: 18-30
Tarefas: To assist with cultural events, projects, book collections;
To engage with children in non-formal activities;
To help out with promotion of library’s services and publicity;
To manage your own club in the library (according to your wish and capacities)
