Resumo: The hosting organization operates several institutions in and around Berlin. The pedagogical concept is based on the principle of progressive education created by Maria Montessori as well as the latest pedagogical insights.

We welcome children from 1 year up to 6 years from different cultures; the group operates bilingually in English and German. The international staff gives the children a daily intercultural insight. Children and teachers have a close relationship characterized by trust, shared experiences, and intensive communication.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: - To look after children, to read sth. to the children
- Accompanying the morning routine, eg. supporting the children in their daily live
- Accompanying trips (for example to the forest, sports hall or other places)
- Working in the kitchen (food preparation, celaning the dishes after the group lunch)
- Accompanying the children during their lunch break

Horário: Working hours:
The opening hours of the Montessori- Kinderhaus im IBZ are from 8:00 am till 17:00 pm. Usually the volunteers are working from Monday to Friday for about 35 hours per week. The weekends are off.

Holidays:
Volunteers have 24 days of holiday for a 12-months service. You should come to an agreement with the head of the Montessori- Kinderhaus im IBZ about taking your days off. Your holidays should be based on the official holiday time of the institution.

Condições: Accommodation is provided in a shared apartment -probably with one or two other volunteers, which is about an hour from the working place by bus/train. Every volunteer will get his/her own room and a shared bathroom and kitchen.

A washing machine and internet access are also available.
You will be provided with a monthly ticket for local public transport.
During the working time, it´s possible to eat at the organization. You will also receive a monthly payment for grocery shopping.
