Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The host organization wants to host 2 ESC volunteers in our organization, at the same time, but with a different focus.
The volunteers will work full-time. This means 38 hours per week. Sometimes there will be meetings in the evenings and sometimes there will be activities during the weekend. The volunteers register their working hours and they will have the flexibility to plan their own free days, in cooperation with the secretary general, who will be the main coordinator.
Most of the working time will be dedicated to the international network of the organization. The organization organize an international seminar in August 2019, in the framework of the General Assembly. The topic of the seminar is the value of play. Youth organizations from Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America are invited.
This international seminar will be starting point for the 2 ESC volunteers. The volunteers are expected to attend the international seminar and to work during the next 4 months on the follow-up of this seminar.
We are looking for 2 persons:
1. Thematic coordinator on the value of play
Playing is the central core and it is also one of the pillars that unites us in the international federation. In every culture children and people play. In every culture there are people doing efforts to guarantee that young people can play. Through playing you can understand each other, despite barriers due to language or culture. In the seminar we want to investigate how playing is seen in different cultures and why we see it as important.
The value of play - will be the theme of the international seminar in August and this will also be the theme that FIMCAP will work on during the next 3 years. During the seminar there will be 5 working groups, each focusing on a different target group and developing actions. The plans of each working group will be brought together in a mission statement, that will direct the course of FIMCAP for the next 3 years.
Specific tasks for the thematic coordinator:
To follow up the outcomes of the international seminar and to identify the next steps that need to be taken.
To follow up the plans of each of the 5 working groups and motivate and coach the volunteers of these working groups in their work.
To support the development of an international game for local youth groups (the aim of one of the 5 working groups).
To look for connections with other organizations and/or campaigns on playing.
2. Communication coordinator
At the same time and at the same location of the international seminar there will also be a start-up meeting of a working group on communication. This international working group will develop a communication strategy for FIMCAP and look for ways to improve the visibility of the organization.
Specific tasks for the communication coordinator:
To join the start-up meeting of the working group on communication.
To support and coach the working group in implementing the communication strategy.
To put the outcomes of the international seminar in the spotlight.
To keep the website of FIMCAP up to date.
Besides these specific tasks the 2 ESC volunteers will also get to know FIMCAP as an international organization in its day-to-day work:
Helping to prepare the meeting of the intercontinental board
Getting a view on financial management and the search of funds
Supporting the continental structures and volunteers in their work
Getting a view on the external representations of the organization
Possibility to join a training for the trainers in October in Romania
The work for the organization is the major part of the voluntary stay, but there will also be time to get to know the national and regional activities:
Helping at Ambriage. This is a regional event at the beginning of September. On this day the new working year is launched. Activities for leaders are organized and the new year theme presented.
Participating in Accu, which is a training course for leaders.
According to the interests of the volunteers there is the option to join one of the working groups that operate on national level.
If there is an interest, there is also the option to join a local group for their activities on Sunday.
There are many possibilities and there is a lot of flexibility. There will be regular meetings to plan tasks and priorities. In all your tasks you will be guided and coached by a coordinator
