Resumo: The host organization is a non-governmental youth organization, which uses non-formal education methods to organizing various events – trainings, seminars, camps, informative campaigns and other events for young people (13-25 years old) on topics that are important for them – career, business, educational possibilities, health and healthy lifestyle, participation, politics, mass media etc.

The organization was created in 2003 and it has since implemented more than 20 projects of various scale, ranging from small youth initiative projects to long term cross border projects with multiple partners.
The organization pays specific attention to develop youth leadership skills thus promoting youth creativity, self-initiative, organizing ability, argumentation and public performance experience. We also provide space for young and inspired activist for their projects and idea implementation.

Organization participates in youth interest advocacy at local level being represented in the organization´s Committee and other committees and working groups and also at national level being a member of “The National Youth Council of Latvia” that works on national and EU youth policy issues.

The objectives of the project:
*To introduce a new tradition in the town, in which local youths of the town and district will work together to create and organize "Youth Festival". young people and volunteers will be the ones who will create the content and activities of the festival so that they are suitable specifically for young people from 13 to 30 years old.

*Continue the activities of the Youth House and association " Youth Council", offering youth and young people of the NEET group not only in Ventspils, but also in the region, new non-formal education activities and promoting youth participation in local government processes.
*To offer an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, traditions and habits of other countries.
To provide information and opportunity for the local community, including young people, to learn about the opportunities offered by volunteering activity and the European Solidarity Corps.
*The group project volunteers will be actively involved in the "Youth Festival" activities building, which will be suitable for all target groups of young people and the NEET group from Ventspils and Ventspils district.

Perfil: • are from EU countries

Tarefas: Volunteers will help to creat already exciting tradition – Youth festival.
Volunteers will be responsible to offer different kind of workshops, interactive and intercultural games and activities.
Daily tasks will include team meetings, preparation for workshops and events, planning activities and Youth festival popularization in local community.

Horário: 1. week 05.07 - 07.07:
Arrival in Ventspils;
Getting to know each other, team building activities;
Getting to know Ventspils (city rally);
Getting to know the idea of Ventspils Youth festival;

2. week 08.07 - 14.07:
Team building activities;
Creating cultural evening in Ventspils Youth house;
Participating in local festival in Ventspils- Sea festival 2019
and Ghetto Games street festival;
Task dividing and activities planing for Ventspils Youht festival;
Creating Ventspils Youth festivals visual design;
Screen printing masterclass ;
Latvian lesson.

3. week 15.07 - 21.07:
Team building activities:
Working on activities and promotion of Ventspils Youth festival:
Working on organizing the territory of Ventspils Youth festival;
Creating Ventspils Youth festivals visual design;

4.week 22.07 - 28.08:
Team building activities;
Working on organizing the territory of Ventspils Youth festival;
Help to organize all the logistics of the festival;
Creating Ventspils Youth festivals visual design;

5.week 29.07 - 04.08:
Team building activities;
Help to build the stages,create the space where the Ventspils Youth
festival will happen;
Participating and organizing Ventspils Youth festival;
Participating in Ventspils towns celebration parade;

6.week 05.08 - 09.08:
Team building activities;
Help to clean everything after, dismantle the stages ect.
Latvian lesson and good by party;
Travelling back home!
