Resumo: The child and youth union was founded in 1993. Members are between 5 and 30 years old and are mostly young people with fewer opportunities – most of them come from low income families. Our aim is the promotion and protection of rights and interests of children and the encouragement of active and creative youth development.

The hosting organization supports young people in taking initiative and realising their ideas. Together with the different age groups we organise international meetings, sport days, camps, educational activities etc.
We want that young people become empowered to become active in the society, to spend their leisure time as funny and productive as possible, to have an international spirit and to be aware that children have the right to take decisions.

Perfil: Aged between 18 and 30 Good communication skills in English (basic knowledges of latvian language will be taken as adventage) Able to commit 2 months to volunteering in another country Computer literate We are particularly open to young people with fewer opportunities (geographic, economical etc.) Basic knowledge of non-formal education Open-minded with a good sense of humour Familiar with outdoor activities and team building basics ! Big bonuss if you are familiar with video making skills and now how to work with camera and after editing clips in one movie!

Tarefas: Your main task will be prepare, plan, organize and most important - lead indoor and outdoor activities for local kids and new leaders academy for teenagers. As well prepare and clean place where activities will happen and your working space. What it means in reality? It’s max 40 hours of work per week. It’s 8 hours per day. Also you will have a chance to teach kids your language. All activities is going to be organized in non-formal way, using a lot of fun and creativity. In the middle of both projects we gonna have outdoor camps in fantastic Latvian countryside for a week.
- July camp will be for youth, age 14-17 where main aims is to learn about social inclusion and EVS, as well to do voluntary service on camp place by building some outdoor tools. Will be chance to sleep in tents. AND this will be night camp – sleeping in day and activities in night.
- August camp will be for kids, age 7-14 where main aim is leisure time activities by topic Carneval of the world.

Topic is choosen by participants of previous years. Last day of camp will be leaded by kids for they parents.
In both camps you will be responsible about programme and activities.
