Resumo: We have been operating under the Institute of Sport, Tourism and free time Sežana for 15 years. We are smaller center with 3 employees. Our main purpose is to provide supportive structure for all young people aged between 15 and 29 years old. We are organizing events and running youth programs in the local area, with the goal of systematic development of mobility, creativity and active participation of young people.

Our activities are: culture and art, informal education, volunteer work, health and sport, information and consulting, international projects and mobility of young people, intergenerational activities, participation and active citizenship.
We are present at all major local events and every year we organize two weeks summer youth festival in a partnership with students and cultural center.

There are around 650 young people who are actively involved in our activities during a year. There are 12 youth workers who are permanently helping organizing events and projects. Lots of projects are done in cooperation with other organizations.
We also pay attention to the young unemployed, lots of them here get their first working experience by organizing different actions in the local community. We are a coordinator for local preventive programs on the field of drug abuse, coordinatig 12 organization in our local community and we are Uniceff safety point for children and young people, giving them help and advice if they find themselves in troubles.

Aim of the project is to involve a young volunteer, who is looking to gain knowledge from field of working with youngsters with less opportunites, unorganized youth, youngsters from rural areas, street youthwork. All participants (volunteer, youth workers, youngsters and others involved with the project) will have an opportunity to strengthen their feeling for active participation and active citizenship, active rule in creating and changing a society through culture and artistic practices. They will have a possibility to work in international environment and to exceed stereotypes and prejudices.
Aims of the project are: increase knowledge, competences and skills relevant for employment through non formal education to all youngsters involved into the project. Besides we want to strength crtical thinking, their self confidence, self development, awareness that they can actively contribute to their society and its changes through work on field of culture and arts.

Perfil: The project will include one volunteer, aged between 18 and 30. from Portugal. We can also host a person with fewer opportunities, we are an experienced organization in this field and we have trained staff.

Tarefas: - activities in the field of organization of youth activities in public spaces and street work,
- the integration of unorganized young people and young people with fewer opportunities,
- inclusion of young people from the rural environment,
- everyday running activities of daily centre of Youth center (workshops, courses, artistic interventions, artistic action in community, help at music and other cultural events at Youth center),
- an inventory of organizations that offer opportunities to perform volunteer work and help with establihing a base for volunteer opportunities on Youth center web page
- learning about culture and history of Portugal,
- promoting program Erasmus+ (presentations at secondary school in Sežana, elementary schools, library, home for the aged, institutions for persons with mental problems and physical disabilities)
- promoting activities of Youth center and publishing information relevant for youngsters on local, regional, national and international level (designing promotion material, refreshing web site, Facebook)
- networking with slovene youth centers,
- prevention activities for young people in order to spend quality, safe and healthy leisure time.

During the entire activity for young people and with young people, the volunteer will perform various activities for the users of the day care center, have contact and communicate with them. Volunteer will be involved in street youth work and thus get acquainted with the other culture, the way of life of Slovene adolescents, promoted the E + ESE project, etc.
- volunteer will help with the organization and implementation of events (exhibitions, concerts, lectures, stand up nights, talk nights, lectures ...)
- in order to establish a base of volunteer organizations in Sežana, it will regulate and coordinate the collection of volunteer opportunities offered by the institutions and organizations
- volunteer will help with the promotion of the Youth center and its activities (social networks, websites, e-news, photography, videos)
- volunteer will help with informing young people (monthly info point at the school)
- he/she will make a presentation of his/her country, language and culture at schools and other public institutions,
- he/she will participate in urban creative campaigns, campaigns for marking world days,
- volunteer will learn about the functioning of youth policy in the Republic of Slovenia and in our municipality,

We will encourage him/her to work on a project or more of his/her own choice.
