Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-governmental organisation. It was established in 2001, inspired by the work and theories of the pacifist Danilo Dolci (1924-1997).

The organization is links local, national and international contexts and is committed to stimulating development and change in educational, cultural and economic spheres through the creation and use of innovative tools and methods.

Our objectives:
• Enhancing active citizenship, training, education and mobility of young people
• Upgrading lifelong learning in adult education, boosting innovative practices and developing key competences for adults
• Improving quality and efficiency in school education
• Developing effective and inclusive approaches for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants
• Fostering progress, sustainable and responsible research and innovation in higher education and research systems
• Promoting equality, protecting the rights of people, preventing and developing responses to violence and discrimination.

Migration is firmly at the top of the European Union's policy agenda. Indeed, the current data shows how the number of arrivals, mainly youth, in EU countries, firstly in Italy, is still important. Last data point out that in 2015 49% of third-country nationals were at risk of social exclusion compared with 22% among host-country nationals.

Mobility and volunteering are among the most powerful educational tools for integration; the acquisition of soft and transversal skills is the foundation for further learning and the gateway to employment and social inclusion; a mobility abroad can deeply help to encourage these young people to improve not only their self- confidence, sense of social responsibility and level of psychological well-being, but also those soft and transversal skills which are necessary to enter in any working field.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: EVS volunteers will implement EVS activities targeting asylum seekers, refugees and young migrants and children from migration background; the activities could be run in shelter centres.
